Jackie Rosenheim
Jackie’s yoga path began in 1997 while studying dance and Pilates. With a lifelong love of movement, it was only natural that she begin the journey of yoga. Using Anusara Yoga's Principles of Alignment were transforming to both her yoga practice and her physical body and was the beginning of her dedication to use yoga as a way to heal body pain. Jackie has suffered chronic back pain due to scoliosis since adolescence. It is by using her body as her greatest teacher and through the use of clear alignment that she is able to manage her own pain. Jackie is passionate about helping her students work through their own pain by using proper alignment techniques and yoga therapeutics.
Jackie has been practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching for 10. In addition to her 200 YTT Jackie has completed a 100 hours of Yoga Therapeutics & Anatomy training with acclaimed physical therapist and yoga teacher, Harvey Deutch and continued to work him him as one of his assistants. She studied under the tutelage of Guru Vishva-ji for a short time at the Anand Prakash ashram in Rishikesh, India. Jackie is in the midst of an 800 hour Yoga Therapy Training to become a Certified Yoga Therapist is currently holds the designation of Advanced Teacher of Yoga Therapy, E-RYT 500 and YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider). Jackie and her family share a deep love for travel and recently returned from a life-changing seven month journey around the world. She returned feeling a new charge for life and in her free time she can be found hiking Pacifica's many ocean-side trails, enjoying good food and wine with friends and cherishes the time she has with her husband and her two crazy-awesome boys.
